Class OctetSeqHelper

Provides static helper methods for working with CORBA sequence of byte (OctetSeq).

Method Detail

extract

Extract the byte[] from the given {@link Any}. This implementation expects the {@link Any} to hold the instance of {@link OctetSeqHolder} that is returned by {@link Any#extract_Streamable() }.

Parameters: a an Any to extract the array from.

Returns: the extracted array.

Throws: ClassCastException if the Any contains something other than the the {@link OctetSeqHolder}.

Returns the agreed Id, delegating functionality to the {@link #type()}.id().

insert

Insert into the given byte[] into the given {@link Any}. This implementation first creates a {@link OctetSeqHolder} and then calls {@link Any#insert_Streamable(Streamable)}.

Parameters: into the target Any. that the array to insert.

read

Reads the byte[] from the CORBA input stream.

Parameters: input the CORBA (not java.io) stream to read from.

Returns: the value from the stream.

type

Creates and returns a new instance of the TypeCode, corresponding the CORBA OctetSeq. The length of the sequence is left with the initial value 0.

write

Writes the byte[] into the given stream.

Parameters: output the CORBA (not java.io) output stream to write. value the value that must be written.
